I know, I have a page titled Pricing so you're expecting to see a nice table of costs or at least some ballpark figures. Sorry to disappoint you but there really is no one-size-fits-all approach to any proofreading or editing project so all quotes are bespoke.

Before providing a quote, I will need the following information:

• Word count
• Schedule, both of when you will send the work and when you want/need it back
• What service you want: if you are unsure, we can discuss this but it helps if I know your expectations before starting out
• Details about the work: for example, is it a novel, a PhD thesis or an annual report? Has it been written by one person or is it multi-author? Are the authors native English speakers or non-native?

I will also need to see a sample of the file but I can provide a ballpark figure for the service based on the above if you don't want to send the sample until you know I am available.

I am happy to offer a fixed-fee service based on per 1,000 words or can give hour or day rates depending on what suits you best.

Unless requested, all quotes are in GBP and are to be paid by bank transfer to my UK bank account.
